ISLAMABAD: Russian Deputy Defence Minister Colonel General Aleksandr V. Fomin on Monday met separately with Pakistan’s Minister for Defence and Defence Production Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Secretary Defence Lieutenant General (R) Muhammad Ali, and Secretary Defence Production Lieutenant General (R) Chiragh Haider.
Leading a delegation, Fomin and the dignitaries discussed matters related to bilateral defence production during these meetings.
Earlier today, Valentina Matvienko, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia met with Pakistan’s National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq. Ayaz Sadiq stated that parliamentary diplomacy has historically played a crucial role in strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Russia.
During a meeting, Ayaz Sadiq advocated for ongoing engagement between the two parliaments through parliamentary friendship groups and high-level exchanges, aimed at fostering mutual learning and shared experiences.
