Pakistan Rubbishes Reports of Funds Shortage at Embassies

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Foreign Office Spokesperson, Mumtaz Zahra, in a conversation with the World Ehco News, has strongly denied the foreign media reports about funds shortage at embassies and maintained that there is no problem with funds in all foreign missions around the world.

In an exclusive conversation with World Echo News, the Foreign Office Spokesperson said there is no problem with funds in all foreign missions of Pakistan and salaries have not been stopped. “There is no truth in this news,” she said.

Pakistani embassies with enough funds

It should be noted that this news is circulating in the media that “funds of Pakistani missions around the world have been stopped and that” funds of Pakistani foreign missions have been stopped due to the economic situation. Moreover, due to the shortage of funds, the salaries of staff in Pakistani diplomatic missions have also stopped. Many embassies do not even have money to pay utility bills.
