ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s armed forces carried out air strikes targeting terrorist positions in Afghanistan during the night between March 14 and 15 as part of Operation Ghazab Lil Haq, security sources said on Sunday.

According to the sources, the strikes targeted hideouts and military installations used by the Afghan Taliban and terrorists described as Fitna al-Khawarij.

Security officials said the operation successfully destroyed technical support infrastructure and equipment storage facilities in Kandahar, which were being used by terrorists for operational purposes.

The targeted infrastructure included facilities used to store technical equipment and provide logistical support for terrorist activities.

Security sources said the strikes were conducted after identifying key locations used by the terrorists, adding that the operation aimed to dismantle their operational capabilities.

Officials stated that the underground facilities in Kandahar were being used by terrorists to store equipment and support their activities in the region.

The latest strikes are part of Pakistan’s ongoing Operation Ghazab Lil Haq, which security sources said would continue until its objectives are achieved.
