ISLAMABAD: Health officials said Friday that 73 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Pakistan during the last 24 hours.
The National Institute of Health (NIH) said the case positivity ratio was 1.43 % while ten patients were in critical condition. Health officials said that no death was reported from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours while as many as 5,095 Covid-19 tests were carried out. According to NIH, 845 tests were conducted in Lahore and 324 in Rawalpindi.
Pakistan’s Health Minister Abdul Qadir Patel said the government has also strengthened the role of Border and Health Services in the country to deal with any variant of Covid-19. The Minister said that the situation was completely under control and advised the general public to avoid listening to rumors.
The Minister further said that in case of any unfortunate situation, the health system of Pakistan was completely prepared to deal with any situation in the country.
