Islamabad: As many as 32 new coronavirus cases have been reported across the country on Tuesday and Karachi with 12 positive cases took the lead among other cities.
According to the official data shared by the National Institute of Health (NIH), with 32 new positive cases, the total number of confirmed cases has reached to 1,572,810 in Pakistan. According to the NIH, so far, 1,538,689 coronavirus-infected patients have recovered since the pandemic broke out in 2019.
The daily data shows that the number of critical patients increased to 40 in the country on Monday whereas the number was 24 the previous day (Tuesday). According to the NIH, currently the coronavirus ratio is 0.42 percent in Pakistan, however the number of cases rising in Karachi and Lahore with a ratio of 0.96 percent in Lahore.
The data shows, Lahore was second on the list with 9 positive cases during the last 24 hours, 1 case was reported from Peshawar and fortunately, not a single case was registered from Islamabad. The NIH said that a total of 7597 tests for the coronavirus have been conducted across the country during the last 24 hours and of them 32 were tested positive for the lethal virus.
