Pakistan Reports 22 New Coronavirus Cases

ISLAMABAD: As many as 22 new cases of coronavirus have been reported while the deadly virus claimed 1 more life during the last 24 hours in Pakistan.
According to the National Health Institute (NIH), 32 patients are in critical condition in various hospitals in Pakistan and the positivity ratio of coronavirus is 0.68 percent. A total of 3248 tests have been conducted within 24 hours to detect the deadly virus nationwide.
Details show that Peshawar has reported the highest number of coronaviruses which is 06 and 171 tests were conducted. The positivity ratio in Lahore is 3.51 percent. Islamabad has reported 1 case, Lahore 3, and Rawalpindi 5.
It is important to mention here that after massive protests in China against the strict lockdown, a record number of 40,052 coronavirus cases were reported on Monday in the country. However, a slight decline in the cases was witnessed on Tuesday and the country reported 38645 new cases. These rising numbers have rung the alarm bell in the health sector. Health officials in Pakistan also fear the surge in the number in winter but the data shows a satisfactory situation in Pakistan so far.
