ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Army has released a new patriotic song to celebrate the country’s 78th Independence Day, which falls on August 14, and the military victory against India through the Marka-e-Haq operation in May.

The song, Jaan Se Pyara Pakistan, released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) — the military’s media wing, highlights the love for the homeland and the spirit of national unity.

The lyrics vividly capture the determination, courage, and readiness of the Pakistan Army. Additionally, the song delivers a heartfelt message promoting national unity, peace, and harmony among all religious communities.

In May, Pakistan and India were drawn into a military confrontation, sparked by the Pahalgam attack on April 22 in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

India linked Pakistan to the attack without providing any evidence. Pakistan had condemned the Pahalgam incident and repeatedly offered a neutral and transparent international investigation into the incident.

In response to Indian aggression, Pakistan’s armed forces launched a large-scale retaliatory military action, named “Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos”, and targeted several Indian military targets across multiple regions.

Pakistan Air Force (PAF) downed six Indian fighter jets, including French-made Rafales. Despite confirmations from international sources and France, India has consistently denied any such losses.

After tit-for-tat strikes on each other’s airbases, it took the US intervention on May 10 for both sides to finally reach a ceasefire.
