ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s government on Thursday categorically rejected the “baseless and irresponsible allegations” propagated by the Indian media, accusing Pakistan of launching attacks on Pathankot, Jaisalmer, and Srinagar.

“These claims are entirely unfounded, politically motivated, and part of a reckless propaganda campaign aimed at maligning Pakistan,” Pakistan’s Foreign Office spokesman said in a statement on Thursday night.

The spokesman said that the repeated pattern of levelling accusations against Pakistan without any credible investigation reflects a “deliberate strategy to manufacture a pretext for aggression” and to further destabilise the region. “Such actions not only further endanger regional peace but also reveal a disturbing willingness to exploit misinformation for political and military ends.”

“We urge the international community to take serious note of this dangerous behaviour and to counsel India toward restraint and responsibility. Any escalation based on false pretences will be met with full resolve and determination to safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity”, the spokesman said.

He said Pakistan remains vigilant and firmly committed to peace, but it will not be deterred by attempts to provoke, intimidate, or mislead and reserves the right to respond to acts of aggression. These allegations are rejected in the strongest possible terms.

Meanwhile, security sources also rejected Indian media reports claiming that a Pakistan Air Force F-16 fighter jet was shot down, calling the story “a blatant lie and fake news.”

According to the sources, “India has become increasingly disoriented following the failure of its recent Harop drone incursions”. They claim that repeated setbacks have left Indian decision-makers “paralysed and confused.”

“In a state of panic,” the sources allege, “India is now attempting to justify potential future aggression against Pakistan by fabricating stories of attacks in Rajasthan, Pathankot, and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.”

Sources added that the reports lack any truth and are entirely baseless.

“There is no credibility to these concocted claims,” they added, accusing India of using disinformation to justify its recent military misadventure, including missile and drone strikes on Pakistani territory.

The Pakistan Armed Forces, they assert, are fully prepared to counter any hostile designs and remain vigilant against “India’s nefarious intentions.”

Pakistan rejects allegations of attacks

Earlier during a press conference, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry categorically dismissed India’s allegations that Pakistan launched attacks on 15 locations across Indian territory on the midnight of May 7 and 8, labelling the claims as “utterly false.

The DG ISPR warned that Pakistan’s response, when it comes on a time and place of its own choice, will be unmistakable.

“When Pakistan strikes, the Indian media won’t need to spin stories—the whole world will know,” the DG ISPR vowed.

DG ISPR said that India has claimed that Pakistan fired 15 projectiles, all of which were neutralised by Indian air defences. However, the DG ISPR mocked these assertions, pointing out India’s failure to protect its own aircraft.

“If India claims it neutralised 15 projectiles, why couldn’t it save its own five jets from being shot down by the Pakistan Air Force?” he asked, referring to downing five Indian aircraft, including three Rafale fighters, one MiG-29, and one SU-30 by the Pakistan Air Force.
