ISLAMABAD: Authorities in Pakistan have expressed strong regret over the unfortunate and unjust remarks by Afghan influencer Mirwais Afghan, sources said on Saturday. It said that the comments made by Afghan influencer Mirwais Afghan are regrettable and unfortunate, and do not align with the gracious hospitality that Pakistan has consistently offered to the Afghan people for many years and continues to do so.
Pakistan Regrets Unfair, Biased Remarks of Afghan Influencer
It added, “Pakistan has been a welcoming host to millions of Afghan refugees, providing them with shelter, education, and opportunities for a better life during times of turmoil and uncertainty in Afghanistan”.
Whilst these comments fail to acknowledge the decades of support and assistance Pakistan has provided to Afghans, and they do not contribute positively to the ongoing efforts to foster peace and stability in the region.
It added that the remarks expressed by Mirwais about Pakistan’s situation are absurd. Throughout history, Pakistan has demonstrated its resilience and ability to overcome significant challenges, it maintained.

Presently, the nation faces various issues, including security and economic, but the country is confident in its ability to address these challenges through a unified national effort, it said.
It is advisable for Mirwais to redirect his attention to the challenges faced by his own country, which is currently grappling with numerous issues, it maintained. Pakistan has consistently played a prominent role in raising awareness about these problems on the global stage. Sources further said that rather than critiquing Pakistan, Mirwais should focus on the dire situation in Afghanistan.
