ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has discussed with United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres burning the Holy Quran and other issues.
The foreign minister said during a telephonic conversation with the UN chief that the United Nations must take collective action against desecrating the Holy Quran and Islamophobia.
During the telephone chat, the leaders also discussed the post-flood situation, while food security problems in developing nations were also came under discussion.
They also talked about the food initiative in the Black Sea.
Pakistan’s FM Speaks to OIC Head
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, Bilawal Bhutto also contacted the OIC General Secretary Hussein Ibrahim Taha over the phone on the issue of burning and insulting of the Holy Quran.
He had a telephone talk with OIC chief in the context of continuous incidents of burning of the Holy Quran in European countries.
