LAHORE: In anticipation of the upcoming festivities of Eid ul Fitr and public mobility, Pakistan Railways has announced to operate five special trains to meet high passenger flow on the eve of the festival.
The special trains would provide a convenient and comfortable travel experience to those intending to celebrate the occasion in their native towns with their near and dear ones.
The first of the special trains will start its journey from Karachi towards Peshawar Cantt, while the second train will travel from Quetta towards Rawalpindi on April 18. On April 19, third special train will embark from Karachi towards Lahore.
The fourth train has been scheduled to depart from Rawalpindi to Quetta on April 26. Similarly, the fifth and final special Eid train will set off from Lahore for Karachi on April 27.
The special trains are a welcome initiative by Pakistan Railways to cater to the needs of people who want to spend their Eid days with their loved ones. The additional travel option aims to ease the burden on regular train services.
