ISLAMABAD: The Ambassador of Qatar, Ali Mubarak Ali Essa Al-Khater, emphasized the profound importance of Qatar’s fraternal relations with Pakistan during discussions with a delegation of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI).
Ambassador Al-Khater expressed his country’s eagerness to strengthen ties with Pakistan, emphasizing the potential for mutual benefit in business and economic collaboration.
Highlighting Pakistan’s capabilities for rapid growth, the Ambassador underscored the industrious and hospitable nature of its people, suggesting that proper guidance and direction are essential to harness their potential effectively.
In response, ICCI President Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, echoed the sentiment of strong bilateral relations between Pakistan and Qatar, particularly in economic, trade, and investment domains.
He expressed optimism that Ambassador Al-Khater’s tenure would further bolster friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
Bakhtawari also lauded the commencement of direct flights by Qatar Airways from Islamabad to Malaysia and Indonesia, emphasizing the positive impact on connectivity and stakeholder welfare.
Group leader Khalid Iqbal Malik from ICCI emphasized the opportune moment for collaborative efforts between Pakistan and Qatar to enhance business-to-business ties for development.
Zafar Bakhtawari, Secretary General of the United Business Group, commended Qatar’s global standing, especially with the hosting of the FIFA World Cup, and acknowledged its role in addressing the Palestine issue.
The delegation also included ICCI executive member Fasihullah Khan.
