ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s President Dr Arif Alvi has urged the need to further expand economic, trade, cultural and people-to-people ties with Russia, Mongolia and Italy.
The President said that Pakistan offered huge investment opportunities for foreign investors and they should benefit from Pakistan’s business-friendly atmosphere by investing in different sectors of its economy.
According to a press release issued by Pakistan’s President Office, Dr Alvi expressed these views while talking to the ambassadors-designates of Russia, Mongolia, and Italy who separately called on President and presented their diplomatic credentials at Aiwan-e-Sadr.

Speaking to the Ambassador-designate of Russia to Pakistan, Albert P. Khorev, Dr Arif Alvi expressed Pakistan’s desire to further strengthen bilateral ties with Russia in trade, economy, and culture and tourism. He hoped that the new ambassador would further promote bilateral relations between the two nations.
Talking to the Ambassador-designate of Italy to Pakistan, Marilina Armellin, Dr Arif Alvi highlighted the need to further enhance bilateral trade ties between the two nations. He added that Italian investors should benefit from the investment opportunities under the Special Investment Facilitation Council in different sectors. He added that the Pakistani diaspora in Italy was playing a key role in the development of Italy and was acting as a bridge between the two nations. He asked the ambassador to help in expediting the issuance of visas to the students of Pakistan.
Speaking to the non-resident Ambassador of Mongolia to Pakistan, Tuvvshin Badra, he said that both nations needed to further promote, economic, trade, and cultural ties for the mutual benefit of the two sides.
Dr Arif Alvi congratulated the newly appointed Ambassadors and hoped that they would play their role in further improving bilateral relations with Pakistan.
