ISLAMABAD: Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari has issued a strong condemnation of blatant Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, calling the recent military strikes a grave violation of international norms.
Flagrant violation
In a statement, President Zardari said the Israeli attacks represent “a flagrant violation of Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” and reflect a complete disregard for the United Nations Charter and the core principles of international law.
Expressing deep sorrow over the loss of lives, the President extended heartfelt condolences to the “brotherly people of Iran” affected by the assault.
Call for global action
He also called on the international community and the United Nations to urgently step in, hold the aggressor accountable, and take swift measures to prevent the crisis from spiralling further out of control.
