ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called on President Asif Zardari on Saturday at Aiwan-e-Sadr.
The prime minister briefed the president on Indian aggression and Pakistan’s effective response in the form of Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos.
Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar and Minister for Law and Justice Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar were also present during the meeting.
“Exceptional professionalism and bravery”
The president praised the exceptional professionalism and bravery of Pakistan’s armed forces in giving a strong response to India’s unprovoked aggression and missile attacks.
The president said as a responsible and peace-loving nation, Pakistan has shown considerable restraint in the face of Indian provocations.
“At all costs”
The president said it is unfortunate that due to Indian aggression, Pakistan was left with no option but to give a decisive response to defend its sovereignty and protect its citizens.
“The entire Pakistani nation is united and fully supports its armed forces against Indian aggression.”
The president affirmed that Pakistan will defend its national sovereignty and territorial integrity at all costs.
