LAHORE: Police on Tuesday foiled a terrorist attack on the Makerwal police station in the Isakkhel district of Mianwali, Pakistan, local media reported.
Local media reported that a group of terrorists attacked the police station in Mianwali, Pakistan but were forced to flee following an exchange of heavy fire.

Police and rescue teams have rushed to the site of the attack. DPO Mianwali Muhammad Naveed has also reached to the scene with additional police force after the attack.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the terrorists must be eliminated and directed the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), Elite Force, and Special Branch to completely support the Mianwali police.
Interim Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi lauded the Makarwal police for thwarting a terrorist assault.
