Pakistan: PM’s Loan Scheme Will Provide Opportunities for Youth, Transgender

ISLAMABAD:  The Government of Pakistan announced PM’s Loan Scheme to provide opportunities for youth, transgender, special persons, and female. The young generation, especially economists, students, researchers, and emerging businessmen, always proves to be the pillar of any country as they put in maximum efforts for creating strong economies and unbeatable nations.

Countries across the world, regardless of creed, caste, and color completely employ such squads to lay down strong cultural, economic, and educational foundations not only for self-sufficiency but to compete globally.

The current remarkable steps of reviving the PM’s Youth Business and Agriculture Loan scheme speaks volumes of the incumbent government’s resolve to advance business to empower youth of the country.

Youngster Salman Ali, who is in search of a job following completing degree said that such steps are a blessing for people like them in an era when there is economic recession and it is hard to obtain desired jobs.

He added that this step will enable youth like him to earn a respectable living and promote culture of entrepreneurship in Pakistan to build a strong economy and address the problem of unemployment.

This loan program will also facilitate all, including female, male, transgender, and special persons between 21-45 years of age to obtain loans of as much as Rs 7.5 million with 25 percent quota specified for females.

Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Youth Affairs, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, said that empowering youth is one of the top priorities of the current government.  She added that the government aims to provide financial help to talented youth for decreasing unemployment and promoting a culture of self-employment to decrease extra burden on national fund.

Disability Rights Activist Abid Akram lauded the government for giving focus to special persons in the loan scheme. He hoped that the government will exploit all ways to promote the program, especially in far-flung parts of the country.
