ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will embark on a two-day official visit to Bahrain from Wednesday (November 26).

The visit reaffirms the longstanding, multifaceted relationship between the two brotherly countries, state-run Radio Pakistan reported on Tuesday.

The Prime Minister will be accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, federal ministers, and senior officials.

During the visit, the Prime Minister will hold high-level meetings with Bahrain’s leadership to further strengthen cooperation in trade, investment, energy, technology, education, and culture.

The trip is expected to bolster the traditionally warm and cordial ties between the two nations, explore new avenues of partnership, and enhance people-to-people connections, contributing to mutually beneficial cooperation.

This official visit underscores Pakistan’s sustained engagement with Bahrain and its commitment to fostering a results-oriented and strategic partnership.

Pakistan and Bahrain enjoy strong diplomatic, security, trade, and defence relations, reinforced through joint training programmes, collaborative security initiatives, and regular high-level engagements.

More than 120,000 Pakistanis live in Bahrain and contribute to the Gulf state’s economy, serving as a bridge in bilateral relations.
