ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will attend the Future Investment Initiative (FII) Conference next week in Saudi Arabia, where he will promote the South Asian country’s investment potential and economic reform agenda.
Local media, quoting official sources, on Monday reported that PM Sharif will embark on a three-day visit to the Kingdom, accompanied by senior political and military leaders.
The Future Investment Initiative (FII) Conference, scheduled to take place in Riyadh from October 27 to 30 under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 framework, will bring together global investors, economists, and business leaders to explore opportunities in emerging markets.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to showcase Pakistan’s economic reforms, investment incentives, and development priorities during his address, as well as in meetings on the sidelines of the event.
During his visit, the Prime Minister is also likely to hold bilateral discussions with Saudi leadership, international investors, and major business groups to explore cooperation in key sectors such as energy, agriculture, information technology, mining, and infrastructure.
The conference will serve as a platform for Pakistan and Saudi Arabia to align their development strategies.
According to sources, high-level consultations are planned to advance shared economic interests and enhance collaboration under Vision 2030, which emphasizes economic diversification and sustainable growth.
Shehbaz Sharif will also emphasize Pakistan’s pro-investment policies, ease of doing business measures, and the government’s efforts to attract foreign capital into priority sectors.
