Pakistan PM to Announce Loan Schemes for Youth, Flood-affectees Next Week

ISLAMABAD: Shiza Fatima, Special Assistant to Prime Minster on Youth Affairs, revealed on Wednesday that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to announce different schemes for loans next week that will aid youth in setting up businesses, and for crops that were damaged in the floods during the previous monsoon season.

Speaking alongside Marriyum Aurangzeb, Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Fatima disclosed details regarding the ‘national youth employment policy’. By means of these plans, the aim is to provide jobs to around two million youth in the coming year.

Flood affectees, youth to be benefit Schemes

Fatima further disclosed that 100,000 youngsters would be trained through a program focused on skill development.  Apart from this, under the head of agriculture loan schemes around Rs50 billion would be disbursed to aid those whose livelihoods have been affected by the floods.

The Special Assistant to Prime Minster on Youth Affairs described the ‘prime minister youth program as having the aim to transform and recognize the country’s youth as an invaluable asset.
