ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar on Sunday took notice of the purchase of cotton yield below the rates fixed by the government to support the farmers and directed Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) to take cognizance of the issue and submit a report in this regard.

PM Office Media Wing said in a press release that the government had fixed rates for the cotton crop, but it was observed that the crop was purchased below the fixed minimum rate at some places.
Cotton a Blessing for Pakistan
Prime Minister Kakar said that yielding bumper cotton crops was a blessing for Pakistan, and the farmers should reap its maximum profit.
He added that the government had clear instructions over its purchase rate so that the farmers’ community could be protected against any losses.
