ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated his country’s unwavering solidarity with the people of Palestine and its continued diplomatic, moral, and humanitarian support during meetings with world leaders on the sidelines of the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit in Egypt.

The meetings were held with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Jordan’s King Abdullah II, Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.

During these engagements, discussions focused on collective efforts to ensure lasting peace in the Middle East, particularly in Gaza.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people and reiterated the country’s commitment to continue extending diplomatic, moral, and humanitarian support for their just struggle.
Earlier, PM Sharif praised US President Donald Trump’s role in brokering the landmark Gaza peace agreement, calling it a decisive step toward ending years of bloodshed and paving the way for a lasting peace in the Middle East.
In a post on the social media platform X after arriving in Sharm El-Sheikh to attend the deal’s signing ceremony, Sharif expressed gratitude to co-hosts Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and President Trump, crediting the American leader’s “outstanding leadership and unwavering commitment” for bringing the warring sides to an agreement.
