Pakistan PM Extends Eid Greetings to Qatari Amir, Discuss Palestine Crisis

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif spoke with Amir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar over the phone just before the occasion of Eid ul Adha.

According to a statement issued from the PM Office Media Wing on Saturday, the premier extended warm greetings and best wishes to the Amir, the Qatari government, and its people on behalf of Pakistan.

During their conversation, both leaders emphasized the significance of Eid ul Adha, which symbolizes sacrifice, compassion, and unity.

They also discussed the ongoing challenges faced by the people of Palestine, urging the international community to intensify efforts towards achieving peace and ending violence in the region.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Amir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani reiterated the strong bonds of friendship and brotherhood between Pakistan and Qatar, underpinned by shared values and mutual respect.

They explored avenues to further enhance bilateral relations, particularly in trade, investment, and labor cooperation.

The leaders agreed to collaborate closely to promote peace, stability, and prosperity in their region and beyond.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed gratitude to Amir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani for accepting an invitation to visit Pakistan, with the specifics of the visit to be finalized in due course.
