Pakistan PM Commends KP Police for Fearless Anti-Terror Efforts

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar on Thursday expressed profound gratitude to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) police for their courageous fight against terrorism to secure the nation’s security.

Addressing officials at a ‘Police Darbar,’ he hailed the police force as a chosen group defending the state with bravery and valor.

In his address, PM Kakar underscored the moral correctness of the ongoing battle against terrorism, reassuring the security forces that their commitment to duty, fortified with belief, courage, and confidence, aligns with the right path.

He paid tribute to the sacrifices of Sifwat Ghayur Shaheed and Malik Saad Shaheed, highlighting their significance as assets to the KP Police. 

Recalling the heinous APS incident in Peshawar, the prime minister emphasized the unforgettable cruelty perpetrated by terrorists against innocent children. Despite acknowledging the inevitability of death, he urged the police force to respond to terrorist attacks with increased strength and ferocity.

Condemning the cowardice and shamelessness of terrorists, PM Kakar pledged to continue raising his voice against them. He labeled terrorists as hindrances to the country’s development and prosperity, saying that sympathy for such individuals was unwarranted. The prime minister said that while the names of terrorists may fade away, the memory of martyrs would endure.

PM Kakar Expresses Confidence in Eliminating Terrorism

Regarding the ongoing war against terrorism, PM Kakar expressed confidence in the eventual victory of the state, asserting that the right path would prevail. He stressed the importance of fighting with wisdom and a strategic approach, pledging to see the fight through to its logical conclusion.

In response to the sacrifices made by the KP Police, PM Kakar announced his commitment to address their issues and demands.

Inspector General Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Akhtar Hayat Gandapur, echoed the prime minister’s sentiments, emphasizing the police force’s dedication to eradicating terrorism and other crimes. He sought financial support from the federal and provincial governments to equip the police with advanced weapons and facilities.
