Pakistan Planning Minister Reviews Progress of Social Sector Initiatives

ISLAMABAD: Muhammad Sami Saeed, the Caretaker Minister for Planning Development and Special Initiatives, presided over a meeting today in Islamabad to assess the advancements in social sector initiatives.

During the meeting, Mr. Rafiullah Kakar, the Member of Social Sector, provided an overview of the significant initiatives and programs implemented by the Ministry of Planning and Development in the social sector.

The Minister highlighted that progress in any country is unattainable without the integration of marginalized segments of society into the development process.

The initiatives undertaken in the social sector aim to facilitate the upliftment of low-income groups within society by ensuring equitable opportunities for them.

Furthermore, the Minister stressed the importance of employing a transparent criterion for the selection of deserving individuals and for the precise targeting of social benefits.
