BEIJING: Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, inaugurated the Pakistan Pavilion at the China Outbound Travel and Tourism Market (COTTM) Expo-2023 held at the China National Agriculture Center in Beijing.
The inauguration was part of the ongoing “Year of Tourism and Exchange” celebrations between Pakistan and China in 2023. Ambassador Hashmi commended exhibitors and tourism companies for promoting Pakistan’s tourism potential, emphasizing the nation’s rich cultural heritage, diverse landscapes, and unique cuisine.
He encouraged Chinese tourists, academics, and entrepreneurs to visit Pakistan, underscoring the significance of tourism exchanges in strengthening bilateral relationships. Ambassador Hashmi expressed hope that COTTM would serve as a valuable platform for networking between tourism companies from China and Pakistan, fostering increased people-to-people exchanges. The event signifies a collaborative effort to enhance mutual understanding and cooperation in the realm of tourism between the two countries.
