SHARJAH: Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first in the second T20I in Sharjah against Afghanistan in their three-match series on Sunday.

Pakistan made only one change as all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz has replaced Faheem Ashraf in the lineup.

Ashraf only scored 2 runs on eight balls during the first match and didn’t bowl during Afghanistan’s run chase.

Shadab Khan is leading the team in the absence of Babar Azam, who has been rested for the event.

Pakistan’s batting flopped in 1st match

Afghanistan, while chasing a target of 93 runs, reached a victory in 17.5 overs for the loss of 4 wickets during the first T20I on Friday.

This was the first victory for Afghanistan over Pakistan in international cricket.

Debutant Ihsanullah claimed 2 wickets in his first over to put the batting line under pressure. However, Afghanistan held their nerve to successfully chase down the target.

Senior all-rounder Mohammad Nabi finished the match with a maximum score not out of 38 with the help of three boundaries and a sixer.
