ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development has implemented several measures to prioritize the facilitation of the Pakistani diaspora. In this vein, the first-ever Protectorate of Emigrants Offices has been established in Bagh and Rawalakot, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
According to media reports, the initiative signifies a significant achievement in the government’s commitment to enhancing public service delivery, particularly for the residents of Bagh and Rawalakot who previously faced challenges accessing services in Rawalpindi, necessitating long travels and significant expenses.
The opening of these offices marks a historic milestone, providing crucial support for legal labor migration, simplifying procedures, and offering essential services locally.
This move aims to alleviate the financial and logistical burdens previously endured by the people of Kashmir, facilitating easier access to pre-departure orientation, employment opportunities abroad, and community outreach programs.
