LAHORE: The Implementation Tribunal of Newspapers Employees (ITNE) on Thursday will hold an online hearing in the cases of journalists from Sindh from 12 to 16 December.

During the hearing, journalists from Sindh will sit in Pakistan Information Department (PID) Karachi office while Chairman ITNE Shahid Mahmood Khokhar will be in the PID Islamabad office.

Hearing will end culture of pending newspaper cases

Punjab Union of Journalists (PUJ) president Ibrahim Lakki and General Secretary Khawar Baig said in a joint statement that due to the online case hearing facility on ITNE, journalists from remote areas are able to contest their cases free of any cost.

“It will end the culture of pending cases for years and will able the tribunal to complete it in time”, PUJ officials said.
