KARACHI: The Annual Safety Review 2023 of the Pakistan Navy was held in Karachi, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated in a press release on Tuesday.
According to ISPR, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf was the chief guest of the Annual Safety Review 2023 event.
The purpose of the Annual Safety Review is aimed to examine and critically review the past year’s initiatives on safety standards in force in the Pakistan Navy.
On the occasion, units, commands and individuals who successfully adopted the safety standards were awarded with Safety Trophies and Certificates.
Earlier, the Pakistan Navy organized an annual safety seminar to highlight the importance of safety and its implementation, ISPR stated.
During the seminar, panels of field commands presented research papers on various safety aspects and current trends for safety promotion in the Pakistan Navy.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief of the Naval Staff said that every member of the Pakistan Navy is committed to strengthening the safety system. “Pakistan Navy is well aware of the emerging security challenges in the region and is always ready to deal with any threat,” the Chief of the Naval Staff stated as quoted by ISPR.
