Pakistan Navy Ship with 100-Tons Relief Goods Reaches Syria

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Navy Ship NASR on Monday arrived in port Latakia, the principal port city of Syria, carrying approximately 100 tons of relief goods for earthquake-affected people of Syria.

The ship was received by Syrian Minister of Education Darem Tabbaa, Amer Ismail Hilal, Governor Latakia, President of Bath Party, and Air Marshal (Retd) Shahid Akhtar, Ambassador of Pakistan, in a fabulous and impressive ceremony.

Unprecedented reception was arranged by the government of Syria in which people from all walks of life participated. The ship was received by a band of school students who played historical tunes, making the audience nostalgic.

Pakistan Navy Ship to stay in Syria till March 17

The officers and crew of the Pakistan Navy Ship were so impressed by the gesture that they immediately mixed up with gathering and expressed their gratitude.

The event was extensively covered by Media and termed a historical event. The ship and crew members will stay in Syria till March 17 and will then proceed to Turkiye.

This consignment contains large family-sized winterized tents & blankets as per the current need of quake affectees in Turkiye, whereas generators, dry rations, medicines, and clothing for the victims in Syria. The ship carried 100 tons of relief goods for the people of the brotherly country.
