ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Navy hosted an investiture ceremony in Karachi to confer military awards upon naval personnel, a military statement said on Friday.
Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf was the chief guest on the occasion, the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
It said the recipients of Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) were Commodore Rashid Mahmood Sheikh, Commodore Tasawar Iqbal, Commodore Aamir Iqbal, Commodore Rashid Nazir, Commodore Zeeshan Shahid, Commodore Dr Nadeem Kureshi, Commodore Dr Tariq Mairaj Rasool Khan, Commodore Dr Attaullah, Commodore Muhammad Umair, Commodore Shahid Wasif, Commodore Saqib Habib, Commodore Faisal Iqbal Qazi, and Captain Syed Atif Hussain Bukhari PN.
The ISPR added the recipients of Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military) were Captain Naveed Ahmed PN, Commander Imran Raza PN, Commander Babar Ibne Saleem PN, Commander Najeeb Ullah Khan Niazi PN, Commander Rizwan Ullah PN, Surgeon Commander Mohsin Raza Khan PN, Commander Imtiaz Muhammad PN, Commander Muhammad Anwer PN, Lieutenant Commander Syed Noman Masood PN, Lieutenant Commander Waleed Arif and Lieutenant Commander Muhammad Umar PN.

It said Tamgha-i-Basalat (Military) was awarded to Commander Munawar Ahmed Bhatti PN, Commander Naeem Ahmed Khan PN, Sadam Hussain PMT-I, and Zain Ali PMT-II.
It added 31 Awards of Tamgha-e-Khidmat (M)-I, 53 awards of Tamgha-e-Khidmat (M)-II and 99 awards of Tamgha-e-Khidmat (M)-III were also conferred upon MCPOs, CPOs, and Sailors of Pakistan Navy.
Moreover, Letters of Commendation from the Chief of the Naval Staff were awarded to 60 Officers, MCPOs, CPOs, Sailors, and Navy Civilians.
“The ceremony was attended by a large number of senior, serving, and retired officers of Pakistan Navy,” ISPR said.
