KARACHI: Pakistani authorities launched an anti-narcotics operation in the Arabian Sea on Monday and seized a huge quantity of narcotics and liquor amounting to nearly $112 million in the international market.
According to Media wing of the Pakistan Navy, a joint operation conducted by naval officials, and Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) in the sea in which 9.5 tons of narcotics, along with over 10 thousand bottles of liquor, were seized
This intelligence-based operation resulted in the apprehension of hidden narcotics aboard a fishing boat, the statement further said.
The estimated international market value of the confiscated narcotics stands at US $112 million. Subsequently, the seized drugs were handed over to the Anti-Narcotics Force for further legal proceedings.
