Pakistan Naval Chief Urges Business Community to Tap Blue Economy Potential

ISLAMABAD: Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi, Pakistan’s Chief of the Naval Staff, on Thursday said that the blue economy in Pakistan offered great opportunities and business potential, which still remained untapped and the business community should exploit it to generate more economic activities.

The naval chief received a delegation from the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), which was led by its president Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari.

Maritime growth is beneficial for business

On the occasion, the Naval Chief said that strong growth is expected in the maritime industry by 2023 which could create jobs and open new avenues of commerce and entrepreneurship innovation. It will also be beneficial for businesses.

He said that Pakistan Navy (PN) was holding Pakistan International Maritime Expo & Conference (PIMEC) from 10 to 12 February under the Ministry of Maritime Affairs’ patronage to jumpstart the maritime sectoe development. He invited ICCI to participate in it.
