RAWALPINDI: Cadets from the Pakistan Naval Academy have excelled in an international sailing competition held at the Sri Lankan Naval Academy, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated on Sunday.
Cadets of naval academies of Sri Lanka, Pakistan, China and India participated in the sailing competition held at the Sri Lankan Naval Academy.
According to ISPR, competitions were held in two categories: Laser Radial and Enterprise. The Pakistani team delivered a stellar performance, clinching the silver medal in the Laser Radial category and the gold medal in the Enterprise category.
The winning team from the Pakistan Naval Academy was comprised of Officer Cadets Syed Sakhir Ali Shah, Saad bin Khalid, and Muhammad Abdullah Akram. Their impressive achievements were recognized at the awards ceremony by Sri Lankan Naval Chief Vice Admiral Parintha Perera, who presented the medals and trophies to the winning cadets.
Pakistan’s Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf expressed his pride in the cadets’ accomplishments.
“The outstanding performance of our cadets in the international competition is a testament to the rigorous and professional training they receive at the Pakistan Naval Academy,” Admiral Ashraf said.
