ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif has said that the preparations for the elections have already started and within one month the assembly would be dissolved after completing its tenure.

Addressing a public gathering, the Minister said that the decision of seat adjustment with PDM alliance would be discussed following the dissolution of the assembly.
He highlighted that the PDM alliance came to power in very difficult situation and it had an option to dissolve the parliament after coming to power mentioning had the national and provincial assemblies dissolved, agreement with IMF would not have been possible.
The Minister said that May 9 event was a dark day in the country’s history saying that due to the wrong political decisions of the PTI chief, his government went down. He said that those involved in May 9 violence should be given a lesson.
