ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted likely rain-wind/thundershower at isolated places in Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan and northeast Balochistan on Thursday.
Heavy rain is expected at isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while the weather is likely to remain hot and humid in other parts of the country, the PMD said.

The Met Office said that Islamabad, upper/central Punjab, Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan experienced rain with gusty winds and thundershowers, while heavy rain was recorded at a few places during the last 24 hours.
However, the weather remained hot and humid in other parts of the country in past 24 hours, the PMD said.
It added that in Punjab, Sargodha has received 69 mm rain while 68 mm rain has been recorded in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Takht Bai during last 24 hours.
Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has warned that there is a risk of flooding in local and seasonal rivers of DG Khan due to likely heavy rains on Thursday.
PMD has also warned about likely flooding in low-lying areas of northeast Punjab province of Pakistan. In an update on X, PMD forecasts rain in Rawalpindi and Islamabad on Thursday.

According to the PMD’s website, the weather is likely to remain hot and humid in most parts of the country on Friday.
However, rain with strong winds and thunderstorms is likely at a few places in Gilgit-Baltistan, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeast Punjab and Kashmir.
