VILNIUS: Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday met Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis and held talks on expanding bilateral cooperation in the areas of education, trade, and investment.
The ministers, who exchanged views on regional and international issues, also signed an agreement to establish a bilateral consultative mechanism.
Bilawal, who was on a historic visit to Lithuania and the first Pakistani Foreign Minister to visit the Baltic state, also visited the Lithuanian Parliament and laid a floral wreath at the monument of martyred freedom fighters.

Bilateral cooperation in transport and communication
On this occasion, the Pakistani Foreign Minister met the Speaker of the Lithuanian Parliament, Viktorija Cmilyte-Nielsen, and highlighted the significance of parliamentary exchanges for promoting public contacts.
The Pakistani Foreign Minister also met with the Lithuanian Minister for Communication and Transport, Marius Skuodis. They exchanged views on expanding bilateral cooperation.
