Pakistan Leave for India to Take Part in ICC World Cup 2023

LAHORE: Pakistan cricket team departed for India to take part in the ICC World Cup 2023 in the wee hours of Wednesday, local media reported.

The team Pakistan left Lahore for India via Dubai. The men in Green are scheduled to arrive in Hyderabad, India at 8:15 pm on Wednesday. Bowling coach Morne Morkel will join the national side in Dubai, UAE whole team director Mickey Arthur will join the team in India, sources said.

Babar Azam-led Pakistan will play their first warm-up match on 29th September against New Zealand and the second against Australia on 3rd October. Pakistan will play their first match of the ICC World Cup against the Netherlands on October 6th.

Pakistan’s skipper Babar Azam said that the players’ morale is very high and will make efforts to perform well in the World Cup.

Talking to media persons before departure for Hyderabad, Babar Azam said they have worked hard and the recent experience in Asia Cup will also help all in doing their highest during the World Cup.
