Pakistan Leading Voice on Protection of Human Rights: FM Bilawal

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that Pakistan is a leading voice on rights issues such as the right to development and the right of protection against racism, Islamophobia, and xenophobia.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in his message, on International Human Rights Day, said that Pakistan has always joined the global community following the 74th anniversary of the Universal Declaration on Human Rights (UDHR) adopted by the UN General Assembly.

Pakistan combating Islamophobia: Bilawal

Foreign Minister Bilawal said on International Human Rights Day that Pakistan celebrated its achievements and efforts for the protection and provision of Human Rights and reaffirmed its resolve to endorse the globally agreed human rights principles, norms, laws, and values.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Accomplishments of Pakistan

Foreign Minister Bilawal said that the 1973 Constitution of Pakistan always guaranteed equal rights for everyone and ensure equal protection and rule of law.

Foreign Minister Bilawal said that “We take great pride in our many accomplishments and the strides Pakistan has achieved in advancing women’s rights, children’s rights, and free expression. Every succeeding generation has made progress in preserving human rights, decency, and equality.”

Foreign Minister Bilawal said that Pakistan had also made significant contributions to boost global efforts of Human Rights at UN human rights bodies, for human freedom, dignity, and justice for all humans.

The foreign minister Bilawal claimed that Pakistan had led the way in advancing the global human rights agenda, from its work to implement the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and implementation of the International Convention on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination to the historic Vienna and Beijing conferences on women’s rights.

Pakistan’s efforts against Colonialism and foreign occupation

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto said that Pakistan always has been an advocate for people’s rights who are subjected to colonialism and foreign occupation, specifically people of Indian Occupied Kashmir and Pakistan has always supported freedom movements of people living under colonialism in Asia and Africa.

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto said that Pakistan continued to remain a firm advocate and supporter for the right of self-determination of the peoples of Occupied Palestine and Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K) because victims of colonialism and occupational forces keep every right for their efforts and their aspirations for freedom, dignity, personal liberty, and human rights.

Foreign Minister Demands from International Community

Foreign Minister said that “The freedom movement of Palestine and Occupied Kashmir to decide their own destiny, as given to them by international law and UNSC decisions, will continue to be supported by the people of Pakistan.”

 has urged the global community to join hands to end the suppression and human rights violations committed against the people of Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) through ethnic cleansing and other occupational weapons. People of occupied Palestine territory and people of Indian Illegal Occupied Jammu and Kashmir have equal rights as the people have worldwide.
