Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan have Potential to Further Enhance Bilateral Trade Ties

LAHORE: Kyrgyzstan Trade House (KTH) head Meher Kashif Younis has said that geographical locations of Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan, and their diverse economies offer a very unique opportunity for enhancing bilateral trade collaboration between the two sides.

He was talking to a delegation of importers and exporters led by Zaheer-ud-Din and said that Kyrgyzstan’s rich reserves of natural resources and Pakistan’s dynamic market develop a complementary synergy that, if harnessed effectively, can lead to a very unprecedented economic growth for both nations.

Meher Kashif added both nations can form a solid foundation for a robust economic partnership. Despite having good diplomatic ties, he also observed, the current trade volume between two nations is far from realizing its complete potential.

Pak-Kyrgyz Economic Relations

The KTH head stressed the need to prioritize and expedite steps which foster stronger economic relations, such as simplifying trade mechanism, reducing tariffs, and also promoting joint ventures. “In today’s interconnected international economy, time is of the core.

He hoped that with swift and decisive acts, both countries can embark on a path of sustained economic growth that will benefit their people for generations to come.

Meher Kashif Younis said Kyrgyzstan Trade House is in close collaboration with Ulanbek Totuiaev, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan, for facilitating the importers and exporters of both the nations and arranging one on one meetings with their counterparts and all stakeholders. He said National Logistics Corporation (NLC) containers are also taking Pak export consignments via China international land routes which is a very successful experience.
