Pakistan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Hold 3rd Meeting of Defence Collaboration: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: The third meeting of Pakistan-Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) Defence Collaboration was held at GHQ, Rawalpindi, the military’s media wing said on Tuesday.

In a statement, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the meeting between the two sides was held on 8 January.  The ISPR added, “The forum underscored the importance of historical ties between the two brotherly nations.”

It added that the participants of the meeting also discussed matters of bilateral interest and evolving security environment.

The ISPR maintained, “The two sides also deliberated upon rapid advancements in military technologies and the need for defence industrial cooperation between the two nations towards the fulfilment of shared objectives.”

“Both sides reaffirmed their desire to enhance defence cooperation in all domains to achieve self-sufficiency in the field of defence production”, the ISPR added.

The ISPR maintained, “Forum reiterated the need to explore further avenues for defence cooperation and enhancing the pace of collaboration.”
