Pakistan Keeps Petroleum Products’ Prices Unchanged

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has on Saturday announced that the Government will not change the prices of petroleum products for the first fortnight of January 2023 despite the upward trend in the international market.

The Minister made the announcement during a press conference in Islamabad on Saturday. He said that the Government rejected the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) summary regarding the increase in petroleum prices.

The current petrol price is Rs214.80 per liter while the ex-refinery price of diesel is Rs187 per liter, and the Government is receiving Rs30 in levy and Rs10 in other taxes, making its current price Rs227.80 per liter.
