ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s interim Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar has summoned the first meeting of the caretaker cabinet to be held today, local media reported.
Kakar will preside over the newly-appointed caretaker cabinet meeting to be held at the PM’s office.
Local media reported that the South Asian country’s law and order and economic situation will be reviewed during the first meeting of the cabinet.
Earlier, President Dr. Arif Alvi, on Thursday, administered the oath to the 18-member caretaker cabinet of Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar. The oath-taking ceremony was held at the Presidency, where President Dr. Arif Alvi administered the oath to the members of the federal caretaker cabinet. The ceremony was attended by Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar and many other prominent figures.

Among those who took the oath are Senator Sarfaraz Bugti, Lieutenant General (Retd) Anwar Ali Haider, Dr. Umar Saif, Murtaza Solangi, Gohar Ijaz, Shahid Ashraf Tarar, Shamshad Akhtar, Dr. Nadeem Jan Ahmed Irfan, Aneeq Ahmed, actor Jamal Shah, Jalil Abbas Jilani, and Irfan Ahmed Aslam.
