ISLAMABAD: On the special directive of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, a commemorative stamp titled “Azm-e-Istehkam” (commitment to stability) was issued on the occasion of the 77th Independence Day of Pakistan. The stamp honours Pakistan’s javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem by featuring his image.
Arshad Nadeem set a new Olympic record with a throw of 92.97 metres, securing a gold medal at the ongoing Paris Olympics 2024. He has become an inspiration for the youth. The stamp, bearing the title “Azm-e-Istehkam,” symbolizes the nation’s dedication to progress and stability.
The design also includes an image of Minar-e-Pakistan, highlighting the significance of the struggle for the independence of Pakistan.
The government hopes that the stamp will create awareness in future generations about the sacrifices made for the nation’s freedom and the ongoing efforts for national stability.
