Pakistan, Iraq Explore Avenues to Increase Cooperation in Agriculture

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Iraq on Monday discussed ways and means to enhance bilateral cooperation in the sector of agriculture, with a special focus on research and development.

The discussion came during a meeting between Muhammad Zeeshan Ahmed, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Iraq, and Abbas Al Maliki, Iraq’s Minister for Agriculture, Pakistan’s Embassy in Iraq said in a statement on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter).

Both sides discuss bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest. They agreed to further expand these ties.

Pakistan’s Ambassador Meets Son of Grand Ayatullah

Meanwhile, Sheikh Ali Najafi, son of Grand Ayatullah Bashir Hussain Najafi, also called on Ambassador Muhammad Zeeshan Ahmed.

During the meeting, they discussed matters pertaining to Pakistani nationals residing in Najaf and Karbala, as well as ways and means of facilitating Pakistani Zaireen.
