Pakistan Interior Minister Leads Security Preparations for Upcoming SCO Summit

ISLAMABAD:  Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi presided over discussions regarding the security preparations for the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Heads of Government meeting on Wednesday.

This high-profile summit, which will feature the participation of several heads of state, is regarded as a pivotal event for Pakistan, underscoring its role on the international stage.

During the meeting, an action plan was meticulously crafted to ensure comprehensive security measures are in place for the duration of the summit. Minister Naqvi emphasized the importance of these arrangements, stating that they are crucial for the success of the event and to showcase Pakistan’s commitment to hosting international conferences.

To bolster security efforts, additional personnel from the Pakistan Army, Rangers, Frontier Corps (FC), and the Punjab Police will be deployed across various venues associated with the SCO conference. This strategic deployment aims to establish a secure environment, allowing for smooth proceedings during the summit.
