Pakistan Information Minister Grieved Over Demise of ‘Autistic Palestinian’

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Minister for Information, Broadcasting, Culture and National Heritage Attaullah Tarar on Thursday joined the international condemnation call made to disapprove demise of Mohammed Bhar, a 24-year-old Palestinian with Down syndrome and autism, by the injuries reportedly caused by a combat dog of the Israel Defence Force (IDF).

The minister expressed his sorrow on social media saying Mohammed Bhar was left for dead after being mauled by a combat dog of the Israel Defence Force (IDF) on July 3, during a raid on his family’s residence in Shejaiya.

The minister, in his post added Bhar had Down syndrome and Autism. “Their dogs attacked him and left him to die. At a loss of words, can’t explain the pain.” The minister also prayed for the mercy of the Allah Almighty.

According to Gaza health ministry Israel’s relentless bombardment has killed at least 38,848 Palestinians mostly women and children and injured 89,459 others.
