ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister of Pakistan and Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Friday presented his offer to Pakistan’s ruling alliance to join the conditional negotiation talks on early elections which Khan is demanding since he was ousted from the office through a ‘No Confidence Vote’ against Khan in Pakistani Parliament.
While addressing a Parliamentary Party Punjab Province meeting in Lahore, Khan said that the government should give the date of general elections, otherwise Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assemblies will be dissolved.
It is pertinent to note that PTI rules in Punjab as part of a coalition while in KP it has rules with a majority.
Pakistan’s ruling alliance afraid of Imran’s Demand
Imran Khan added that Pakistan’s federal government should come and talk to us, as we know the government is afraid of elections, and if we dissolve the KP and Punjab Assemblies then the country will have to conduct elections in 66 percent of Pakistan.
