ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Sports Board on Thursday issued a no-objection certificate for the national men’s hockey team’s participation in the Asian Champions Trophy (ACT), starting in Chennai, India, from 3 August.
The NOC was issued after securing clearance from the concerned ministries and other relevant authorities.
The process to get the NOC for travel to India is lengthy, and PSB has diligently facilitated the required procedures, PSB said in a press release.
Other Teams in Asian Champions Trophy
ACT is one of the big hockey events on the Asian Hockey Federation Calendar. Besides Pakistan, other countries participating in the event are South Korea, Japan, India, China, and Malaysia.
Pakistan will start its journey against Malaysia on 3 August 3, and the final of the event will be played on 12 August.
As the national team embarks on this journey, the country rallies behind them, united in support and pride for their representation of the sporting spirit of Pakistan.
